The canal shuttle
The shortest route between the southern en northern Green Belt.
Straight through Brussels!
From May till September, the canal shuttle navigates every Tuesday and Thursday between the southern en northern green border, straight through Brussels.
On Tuesdays the canal shuttle commutes between Halle and Grimbergen, with several intermediate stops in the canal communities.
On Thursdays the canal shuttle sails from Brussels to Kapelle-op-den-Bos and back, also with several boarding areas along the waterway.
Exploring with the canal shuttle
Alone, as a couple or as a group, take the canal shuttle to go shopping in the city, walking, exploring a park or visiting a museum and return by boat afterwards.
Or take your bike on board and return cycling after the boat trip.
Bus, train and tram stops are situated near the boarding areas of the canal shuttle.
It’s perfectly possible for groups with their own transportation to incorporate a sailing route with the canal shuttle in their day programs.

The canal shuttle has got fixed fares, just like a 'classic' bus.
The first sailing zone is at the base rate of 4 euro.
You pay 1 euro for every additional zone on the same day.
